After Ashwin,Murli Vijay to miss IPL 2017 due to injury.

The tenth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2017) seems to be short on some star power with reports coming in that both Ravichandran Ashwin (Rising Pune Supergiant) and Murali Vijay (Kings XI Punjab) expected to give the campaign miss due to respective injuries.
Ravichandran Ashwin has been ruled out of the IPL 2017, the Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI) confirmed on Saturday (April 1), while Murali Vijay and KL Rahul's participation was under the cloud. The good news, however, comes for the Mumbai Indians with Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya being declared fit to play.
Ashwin, who reportedly played the four-Test series against Australia series despite sports hernia, and has been advised 6-8 weeks of rehabilitation, due to which he will miss the entire season. But Vijay has to undergo a surgery on his right wrist and will also rest for rehabilitation for his left shoulder, which could effectively rule him out of the entire season as well.
With already Virat Kohli set to miss the start of the IPL, the Royal Challengers Bangalore were in for further bad news as KL Rahul, the in-form wicketkeeper-batsman, is set to miss this edition of the tournament to undergo rehabilitation following a probable surgery on his left shoulder. Rahul had first injured his shoulder during the Test series against England and he showed signs of discomfort while playing in the series against Australia too.
Kohli, the captain of the Bangalore-based franchise, who sustained a shoulder injury in the third of the four-Test series against Australia in Ranchi and subsequently sat out of the series decider test match in Dharamsala, will be assessed in the second week of April after undergoing rehabilitation and a call on his return to play will be taken then, the Indian board confirmed.
Also, few other players like Ravindra Jadeja and Umesh Yadav have both been advised two weeks of rest to recuperate from respective ailments. While Jadeja is facing issues with the spinning finger, Umesh has right hip and lower back soreness, and the duo will miss the first two matches for their respective franchises. There are few South African players like JP Duminy, Quinton De Kock to already miss the IPL current edition.

The tenth edition of the tournament begins on April 5 between Sunrisers Hyderabad and RCB, with AB de Villiers likely to skipper the Bangalore side in Kohli's absence.
